Atomicity: all or nothing, operations either execute entirely or do nothing Isolation: Ensuring race conditions do not effect operations or result in corruption

Join

If there’s a foreign key $y$ in a model and you’re looping for all objects $x$ of that model, accessing a field $name$ of the model $y$ that the foreign key corresponds to, then you’re making an additional database call each time.

Can do a join and get $y$‘s field on a single call of x before iteration, like when you get all x models
